The journey into Medicare for Wicker Agency came about by accident. Five years ago, we had a visit with a client who had a homeowner claim. After taking care of the homeowner claim this client showed the fliers and brochures on Medicare plans she had received. It goes without saying this massive amount of mail was confusing and intimidating to her. It was during the annual open enrollment period, and our client had received stacks of information. She was wrestling with what to do about her Medicare options. The formulary for her prescription drugs had changed. She wanted to continue to take the same drugs for her medical conditions, and she wanted to continue to be able to see her physicians. 

Having been in the property and casualty insurance business for years we had never given any thought to Medicare. It was easy to think all Medicare was the same. After returning to the office Wicker Agency started our journey into Medicare. It did not take long to figure out that Medicare was not plain vanilla. One size does not fit all in Medicare. Making the correct decision for your Medicare benefits is critical.
